Wookie Garcia will be performing this Wednesday June 25 at Humphreys Backstage Live. This is the indoor space you've probably seen when visiting Humphreys for one of their main stage concerts out on the Bay. Our friend Jeff Ousley hosts his Live Music Showcase there on the last Wednesday of the month, so here we are. The show starts early at 6 pm and runs until 10. No word yet on when we play, there are other bands playing as well. We will follow up with this post when we know.

Hello summer. Hello to a show at the beach! Wookie Garcia will be out at the new (sort of) Northside Tavern OB. This is an early afternoon performance, so you'll still have your Saturday night free. The band will be playing two sets starting at 3:30, and there is no cover, so come and go as you please. Wookie will be onstage until 5:30 or so. 21 and up. 

Our newest video will have its YouTube premiere at midnight! Emily Ince has once again crafted an artful visual to accompany our song “Where the Trees Reach the Sky.” Brother Kellen Ince stars in the narrative, playing a young Tom Waits walking around Waits' old stomping grounds in Chula Vista. The band, featuring guest drummer Bob Sheehan, performs beneath some really tall trees. Watch it on repeat all day long if you like, but remember to head out to Navajo Live for the SDMA Showcase at 8.

Wookie Garcia will be part of a San Diego Music Awards Nominee Showcase at Navajo Live on Friday April 26. We will play first at 8 pm, and four more nominated bands will follow.  This event is one of a few such showcases throughout the city that will take place in the week leading up to the actual awards show at Humphreys by the Bay on Tuesday April 30. Wookie Garcia is prepping for our first show of the new year on Monday January 22. The band will be playing on a bill with 2 current members of the Vermont band, The Grift. Accompanying them will be former bandmate, Neil, who obviously is the same Neil occupying the drum chair in Wookie Garcia. Wookie Garcia will headline an early Halloween event at Navajo Live on Sunday October 29. The band will play 1 set from about 8:45 on. Thanks to all who came out to Navajo Live last night to see the band. We had a great night of music, dancing & re-connecting with friends. We are doing our best to recreate the big sound of our upcoming record, and we were very fortunate to have Robert Fedeli on organ, and Doug Harrison on guitar for last night's performance. Wookie Garcia will be performing at the Spirit of the Fourth celebration in Rancho Bernardo. The day-long event kicks off at Webb Park at 9 am, and includes an afternoon parade, leading up to the concert at Rancho Bernardo High School.
